    Annabella,

Thanks for submitting the Week One assignment.  I've looked over your SCQH and Issue Tree, and they are good starts.  I realize this is just a practice example and you may not be using an actual situation for this assignment, but I have some suggestions as you look ahead in this project and with other future market research endeavors:

    1. In your "Situation," I'd suggest more detail and background on why your company wants to target verticals.  What is driving that decision?  Is it competitive pressure?  Is it growth goals?  Is it diversification?  Adding a few more sentences can help the reader understand the context better.  Also, while the "Situation" mentions targeting three verticals, it appears as though only one vertical will be addressed initially ... assuming that's the case, some additional detail around the plan to identify a single high-priority vertical could be added to this section.  (My point is, it's not clear whether the company wants to target three verticals all at the same time, or if it has identified it's top three verticals, but needs to figure out which one to target first.)

    2. For your "Question," it could potentially be revised to, "Which vertical should our company target first, and what new software capabilities are required for that vertical?"

    3.  In the Issue Tree, it looks like the three verticals to be studied have already been identified ("vertical #1," "vertical #2," "vertical #3).  This was not clear to me from the SCQH, as I mentioned above.

    4.  Also on the Issue Tree, it seems like the fifth "Key Question" overlap with the first, second and third questions.  Perhaps they can be combined in some way.

I hope these ideas make sense, and feel free to ask any questions or provide additional context.

Take care and have a good day.

    Best,
    Chad
