Welcome to the Pragmatic Alumni Community,
We’re glad you’re here.

As you are getting up to speed in the community and are exploring what this space is all about, please let us suggest the first three things you can do to get the ball rolling.

3 Tips for Getting Started

To get off on the right foot, make sure you.....

1.) Upload a Profile Picture and Your Personal Bio

  • Did you know that research has shown online community members who feature their photo in their profile avatar are more likely to receive peer-to-peer interaction? People are more likely to engage with you if they can see your face because it increases feelings of connection and identification. Make sure you add your headshot, candid snap or funny selfie to your profile. You can always change your photo by navigating to your profile page > actions > change photo.
  • Don't overlook your personal bio on your profile either! This introduction to who you are and what you do is a great way to add jet-fuel to your community networking. 2.) Find your tribe

2.) Find Your Tribe
  • All PAC conversations and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing happens inside Groups. Groups are tribes of product folks who are working on the same type of products, industries or key activities as you are. Browse All Groups to find the spaces and faces that relate most closely to your unique reality.
  • Once you find a tribe that makes an impact for you - don't be shy! Go ahead and ask or answer a question.

3.) Introduce Yourself to the Community
  • Let The PAC know that you have arrived! Each month we post an introduce yourself thread in the PAC Main Room group. Introducing yourself on the current thread is a great way to kick start your networking. Say hello by sharing your organization, product focus and a couple things you hope to learn inside The PAC.
  • Don't forget to read through the introductions your peers have made as well. You never know, you might see someone else you would like to get to know better.

Community Managers

Speaking of introductions ... We’d like to introduce our community managers, the Pragmatic team members dedicated to making sure everything runs smoothly in the PAC and that you get the most from your membership.

She is your go-to person if you need tips to level up your community experience, help navigating a technical roadblock or a helping hand sourcing just the right resource.

Georgina and Rachael are always available if you have questions about the PAC as you’re acclimating to the culture and tone. You can reach them at Community@PragmaticInstitute.com (they read every message you send) or direct message them in The PAC.
